During the second week of December 2018, I made an oral presentation at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) 2018 Fall Meeting in Washington D.C. (USA), the most important scientific event of Earth Sciences worldwide.

The work was entitled Spatio-temporal evaluation of the latest Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for GPM over the different climates and complex topography of Chile (Final paper number H52C-06). It evaluates the improvements of the latest IMERG version 05 Final Run (IMERGv05-F) over its predecessor TMPA 3B42v7, over the diverse climatic gradients and complex topography of Chile, from January 2015 to December 2016.

In addition, I participated as co-author in the work Hydrological Evaluation of Satellite-based Rainfall Estimates in a Data-scarce Andean Catchment to Support Drought Management (Final paper number H32B-03), which summarises the MSc thesis carried out by Hamish Hann (Institute for Technology and Resources Management (ITT), TH Köln - University of Applied Sciences, Köln, Alemania) during his visiting period at the University of La Frontera (first semester 2017).
